Culinary Agents Made Simple
I couldn't be more proud of my girl Alice for spearheading her brandy-new company: Culinary Agents. Culinary Agents is a social buiness network designed for the food & beverage industry. Profiles are free (that's right people - FREE!) They make it easier for the food and beverage industry to find qualified talent while also giving the industry talent new opportunities to shine.
You may think I'm not in F&B so this doesn't apply to me - but it does. There are so many job opportunities that touch this industry it's really endless. Think beyond the traditonal front of the house & back of the house position like event planning, photography, selling retail cooking items, & more. Sign up for an account today, it's free & you never know who you may meet.
In this age of social media you probably think something like Culinary Agents already exists because it's the obvious solution. Before Alice it didn't but thanks to Alice & her team it does now! Watch this video for the rundown.

Behind the Scenes Shots at a Culinary Agents Event
This past Saturday I crashed Alice's Culinary Agents' event at Williams-Sonoma on 59th Street in NYC to snap some candids while upcoming faces on the culinary scene talked shop & received complimentary headshots a la Scott Bleicher.
FYI: Culinary Agents is the new kid on the social networking block with a savvy business edge. It offers a social business networking platform for those in the food & beverage industry with a focus on job matching all the way from the front of the house to the back of it. Essentially, if you love food in any way you should sign-up for an C.A. account - it's free & the possibilities are endless. Plus, you never know who you might meet - perhaps a smiling face who could just be on tonight's episode of Chopped!

Tips From a Culinary Agent: Alice
Every single person in my life inspires me in some way. Alice sits high on the list of my inspirational friends. She knows a thing or two (million) about hospitality & yummy eats. A couple weeks back when a bunch of us girls gathered at her apt for dinner I couldn't help but snap photos of literally every little detail that Alice had put into the evening. Definitely start your dinner party like Alice did (in the photo above) with briny olives, nutty cheeses, fruity olive oils & fresh bread.

A Housewarming Gift in a Jar
This past week I had the pleasure of dining at chateau Alice, my very cool & fancy culinary friend. She & her beau just moved into this perfectly sun-drenched apartment in NYC. (More on the yummy eats & recipes from Alice to come) In hopes to bring a gift that Alice (the girl who has everything) didn't seem to have I went the practical route & crafted up this gift of useful household stuff in a glass jar that she could use right away & not worry about storing. I was definitely pinspired by something I'd seen on pinterest. It was really easy & fun to make! Best of all (I think) Alice loved it!
Ingredients:
- 1 large glass jar
- 1 bottle of yummy hand soap
- 1 magnetic grocery list
- 2 sponges
- 2 dish towels
- 1 sheet of alphabet stickers
- 1 gift bag
- Choose a message & spell it out with the alphabet stickers on the side of the glass jar. I found these in the scrapbook aisle at Target.
- Roll up one dish towel & nestle it in the jar.
- Arrange all of the other products neatly inside the jar.
- Use the second towel in place of tissue paper, wrap it & gift it in a cute gift bag.
Check out some more how-to photos after the jump!
