Best Hot Pink Lip Color Ever

I grabbed drinks with my girlfriends last night. I'd like to think they were hanging on my every word but they were really obsessing over my lip color.

Rose couldn't understand how it stayed on my lips and not on my wine glass. I told her i didn't have anything to do with it, it was all obsessive compulsive cosmetics. It took seconds to pass around the tiny tube & mini brush before Rose, Lara & I (75% of the table)  were all gushing about how great it felt & where to buy it. OCC lip tar is the lip color you need if you're looking for a punchy bright color that lasts for hours (with one single drop!) & qualifies with safe ingredients.

The color I am currently loving (& sharing) is anime. It's the perfect hot  pink (you can check it out on my lips here) which is this season's new complexion friendly red, but you can get whatever color you please.

More often than not young girls these days try to dress older than they are.  That is why I'd like to give personal kudos to Miss Kiernan Shipka who I think looked amazing at last night's 2013 SAG Awards. Taking a page from her show away from home, Mad Men, Kiernan knocked it out of the park looking classy in this perfectly pink 60s style frock.  If only Oscar de la Renta could dress the rest of the youth & all of us of today - but I digress.

Kiernan is a living doll in this get-up & I think  girls & women of all ages can/should take a nod from her style. I searched the web for the pieces that I thought might look best on my 30-something body in the spirit of this inspiration along with what I'd imagine would finish off this look with the perfect pink lip & bold brow.

Besides the color I think one of my favorite things about nail polish is the clever names each brand gives them.  These pretty fall polishes would make for great conversation in color & name, plus they don't have those nasty toxins in them (you know the kind that can embalm dead things - yeah those).
