Veggie Lasagna

My grandmother only makes lasagna on Christmas because my dad will be there to eat it. Lasagna is a labor of love & reserved for very special loved ones.  My friend Ashley was up visiting from Texas this past weekend. She is a lasagna worthy friend.  I even whipped up some homemade lasagna pasta sheets to make it extra special. You can of course skip the homemade pasta part & use the boxed lasagna noodles but whatever you do, make this for someone you love sometime really soon, preferably on a lazy Sunday when you have just as much time to make it as you do eat it in really great company.

The More Things Change, The More They Stay the Same

Rose & Douggie

Hely & Jack

It’s Friday, yay! I’m taking a break from my usual foodie posts to let a little light in & share with you two of my beautiful friends who have become even more gorgeous as mothers.  Yesterday two of my girlfriends, Hely & Rose, stopped by my office to say hi & to share smiles, stories & giggles with their little boys. It made my day & I’m still smiling about it.

It reminded me that every time things changes it’s comforting to know that they also stay the same, there's just more to talk about! Please remember to cherish the moments & people in a life full of things.

Holdiay GIft Idea: Time with a Best Friend

heatheromade

I know I've posted about some gift ideas (here & here) but I think the best gift of all is the gift of time. If I could bottle the time spent with my best friends it would be the best item on any gift guide.

This past weekend I got to spend some amazing hours with one of my best friends, Maggie.  She's a mother of 3 (with one on the way!) & she still found hours in her day to have lunch with me.  I am truly blessed to have such a wonderful woman in my world. Thanks again, Maggie.

Click through for some more photos of the quaint little restaurant, Under the Moon, where we dined. The decor was eclectic & the food was tasty. The perfect recipe for a great lunch date!
